What is a Xerox Authorized Sales Agency?
Xerox Corporation has been a World Wide Leader in Technology for many years, providing award winning products and services to millions of customers around the world. In order to provide the best individual attention small to midsize businesses need, Xerox decided to outsource this business division to local companies, hence the birth of Xerox Agencies. Today, Complete Document Solutions is the largest Agency on the East Coast. Servicing thousands of businesses for over 10 years, CDS can provide that individual attention and consultation a small, emerging or expanding business requires, while also providing the top quality products and services you should expect from a brand you can trust, Xerox.

What is Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)?
LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It is an application protocol for reading and editing directories over an IP network. For example, these directories would contain information on individual or groups, such as phone numbers and/or e-mail addresses.

To associate this with day to day use, LDAP is used with Microsoft Outlook and a Global Address Book to populate an e-mail address. When using a Multifunction Device (MFD), this same Global Address Book will be accessed to provide similar information.

Advantages of LDAP:
• Centralized administration
• Update content using one tool, which will update all other applications or devices using LDAP
• Supported with multiple devices and software

What is Workflow Scanning?
Workflow Scanning allows a user to scan an original document, convert it to an electronic file, and distribute and archive that file in a variety of ways. The final destination of the electronic file is controlled by a template chosen by the user at the printer's Control Panel.

Workflow Scanning is automated work management. It automates the process of getting large volumes of hard-copy documents into suitable scanned image formats that can be stored, distributed, or made accessible for further processing. When workflow is optimized for purpose, and IT infrastructure considerations are taken into account, substantial benefits can be achieved in efficiency and management. Workflow Scanning is set up and controlled by templates. A template is a file that stores scanning and routing preferences for a given workflow. Templates may reside in the printer, or may be cached from a pool of templates pulled from a remote server.

In a typical workflow scanning scenario, the scanned images are automatically archived or published on a pre-determined network server called a file repository and then, with the help of server or desktop software:
• Routed to a user's computer for viewing or editing.
• Integrated with a variety of popular document management and workflow applications.
• Sent to a network directory or filing location for later retrieval.
• Sent to an e-mail distribution list.

What is an Image Quality Kit?
The Image Quality Kit has been developed by Xerox to help you identify image quality defects, such as lines, streaks, marks, spots, caused by a specific replaceable units (CRU) or SmartKit.
The kit also helps you to easily determine which CRU/SmartKit is causing the defect and may need to be replaced. This will help you save time, increase productivity, and reduce your overall maintenance expenses.

How can I get an Image Quality Kit?
Your service representative (technician) is responsible for distributing the Image Quality Kit and providing training.
